Check the functions of Human Prostaglandin F2a in the body

There are a number of lipid proteins that are present in humans and animals and has diverse hormone like effects. Prostaglandins are similarly part of this lipid compounds that are physiologically active, and are derived from fatty acids in the format of enzymes. With a variety of sources from which it can trace its origin, it has 2 derivatives that are of utmost importance: prostacyclins and thromboxanes. These derivatives have a very important role to play in regards to inhibiting aggregation of platelets of blood and have the physiological function that prevents the body from having clots that are not required. Contracting the smooth muscular tissue, this plays a definite role in inflammation and synthesizes walls of blood vessels. Conversely, at times, it has an important role to play in regards to thrombosis and vascular dilation as well.

Functions associated with Human Prostaglandin F2a:

Being a prostaglandin in nature, it has a number of functions, primarily in the zone of inflammation and contraction of uterus by primarily targeting the TP receptors. Apart from that, it has some primary roles in biosynthesis that act as lipid mediators of the paracrine and autocrine types. They primarily act upon epithelial tissues, uterine tissues, endothelium and mast cells. As per recent news items that have been circulated in the market, these functions have come to the forefront. It has other functions as constriction and dilation of vascular tissues, decrease of interocular pressure, and regulates hormones, growth of cells, calcium movement and helps in sensitization of spinal neurons. A series of research in this zone is being carried out by Human Prostaglandin F2a (PGF2a) ELISA Kit.
